Being Boss Mama

Being Boss Mama

Meet Our Boss Mamas

Welcome back dear Zoës. If you read our last blog post, you probably came across the fact that we are run by three boss mamas. Stick with us and you will get to know each of us in due course.

Why Boss Mamas?

Our team of co-founders are all aged above forty years, and have children spanning from toddlers to adults. We have faced insecurities about what we bring to the table. Some of us have taken a decade out of formal employment. It was the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of family. We are now thinking of the next step.

However, we are not defined by the roles we play in life, but simply who we are. To be truthful, we are boss babes, and we feel as young and lively as ever. However, we live in the digital age where a person’s self-worth is based on outward appearances, how much weight one can lose in 6.9998 seconds and truth be told, how many likes you can get. We are reminded daily that women have a limited shelf life and must fit within an age limit and beauty standards.

What a way to create insecurities, even as adults.

Comfortable in our own skin

So we started something special at a time where all the superficial stuff simply didn’t matter anymore.

Not everything is about how much money you have. We got a stark reminder when we lost a friend who was also a mother. The gap she left behind can never be filled the way she did. But the love we have for her will never die.

And that is just it. Nothing else matters in life except how we make others feel. Loved, seen, heard, valued. The list goes on. So we have thrown away our insecurities and stepped out of our comfort zone. We are going to carry on telling stories of how it is possible to break barriers just as we are. And if we can, so can you.

Today Matters and So Do You

Our beautiful Zoës, hear this. There is no time limit on your dreams, and no one has the right to put you on the shelf of expiry. So far as you are living and breathing, dear Zoës, that is what we bring to the table, life. Zoë represents the life we hold onto, and the celebration of life and hope we want to bring, no matter the situation.

So until next time dear Zoës, keep shining.
